This is a week long lesson looking at those who were placed into captivity at some time in World War 2. Starting with the Holocaust (as seen from the lesson plan below), the students will begin by learning who all was placed into Concentration Camps and why. Later in the week, the students will learn what POWs are, and how each country treated those they captured, and then how other countries reacted to people of “enemy descent” within their own land. This unit uses lecture, videos, discussion and response to explain and inform the students.
